GET TO KNOW HAILEY

Hailey Rasmussen is a young and upcoming flute performer and teacher. Hailey has performed in masterclasses for Mary Matthews, Colton Wansitler,  and Pure Winds Woodwind Quintet. She has performed as a flutist with the Missoula Symphony, Butte Symphony, and the Breakfast Club Woodwind Quintet. A supporter of new music, Hailey has performed in multiple premieres of new music including original pieces by Cannon Shane, Alexis Carrier, Reed Ellsworth, Doug Higgins, Sylvia Wood, and Christina George. Hailey has happily continued a strong private flute studio since 2016, where students have achieved top chair placements in school ensembles and performed successful recital performances.

 

Hailey completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Montana with a double major in Music Education and Flute Performance. She performed in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Flute Choir. Hailey is currently continuing her exploration of music and teaching pedagogy in the Cambridge area.
